DCC is consulting on proposals to end Migrations for the IOC and FOC (NP) cohorts from 26 March 2023 as Migrations will be materially complete by this point i.e. SMETS1 Installation will either be Migrated or excluded.
This consultation also proposes various regulatory changes to the SMETS1 Transition and Migration Approach Document (TMAD) covering:
- partial Migration (ESME only) for Dormant and Mixed Installations (impacting the IOC, MOC (Secure), and FOC cohorts);
- changes related to Excluded Categories to exclude certain categories of SMETS1 Installations from Migration (impacting the IOC, MOC (Secure), and FOC cohorts); and
- certain changes to unblock Migration of SMETS1 Installations (impacting the FOC (NP) cohort).
We are seeking your views on our proposals using the provided response template.
Please note that the consultation document and response template were updated on Tuesday 3 January 2023 to account for typographical errors.
On 16 January 2023, DCC extended the response date for this consultation to allow further time to respond. This extension is provided as DCC has experienced operational delays in providing reporting on Excluded Categories to Energy Suppliers.
Please send us your comments by 12:00 on 10 February 2023 via consultations@smartdcc.co.uk as we’re aiming to conclude on this consultation by 17 February 2023.
