On 16 December 2022, DCC issued a consultation titled ‘SMETS1 Consultation – Closure 2’. This covered proposals to end Migrations for the IOC and FOC (NP) cohorts and also proposed various regulatory changes to the SMETS1 Transition and Migration Approach Document (TMAD). DCC concluded on this in four parts.
On 15 February 2023, DCC published the ‘SMETS1 Conclusion - Closure 2 – Part A’ covering partial Migration. On 15 March 2023, DCC published the ‘SMETS1 Conclusion - Closure 2 – Part B’ covering the remaining regulatory changes. On 16 March DCC published the ‘SMETS1 Conclusion - Closure 2 – Part C’covering closure of the FOC (NP) cohort.
On 5 April 2023, the final aspect was concluded by DCC covering the closure of the Requesting Party for the IOC cohort. DCC submitted the ‘Closure 2 Part D Conclusion’ document to the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero for consideration by the Secretary of State.
