Conclusion to the Consultation on 2024 – 2025 BCDR Testing Schedule

DCC’s conclusions to the consultation on the proposed BCDR Testing schedule for 2024 – 2025.

DCC is required to have Business Continuity Disaster Recovery procedures in place and to test those procedures annually.

On the 5th of December 2023 DCC issued a consultation on the 2024 – 2025 BCDR Testing Schedule and invited feedback from SEC Parties.

DCC received four responses to the consultation which are summarized in the conclusion document.

DCC issued the BCDR Testing schedule to all Parties through mass communications on the 24th of January 2024 and presented the schedule and consultation feedback to the 29th of January 2024 SEC Operations Sub-committee and sought feedback and any additional comments. On review of the annual outage plan (a combination of planned BCDR Testing and Maintenance) the committee endorsed the proposals.

DCC will continue to investigate opportunities for reducing the overall impact of downtime caused by BCDR Testing but remains committed to ensuring systems are robust in the event of an unplanned outage.

The conclusion document summarises the consultation question posed, the responses received and further engagement with industry. The 2024 – 2025 BCDR Testing schedule is also provided.
