Consultation Conclusion on Proposed Changes to the Temporary Communications Hub Ordering and Delivery Rules

In July 2022 DCC consulted on a proposed extension to the Temporary Communications Hub Ordering and Delivery Rules (TCHODR), considering that an extension to the rules would help manage the risk of under delivery of Communications Hubs (CHs).

Ongoing issues in the global supply chain have been well documented and have impacted the ability to produce CHs at the volume ordered by Parties. In December 2021 TCHODR were implemented to provide the supply chain with increased certainty of the CH volume required. These rules covered deliveries for January 2022 to December 2022. DCC worked to align the rules across Communications Service Providers and additional TCHODR were implemented to cover delivery months January 2023 to September 2023.

Global supply issues have persisted and in July 2022 DCC consulted on extending the TCHODR to cover delivery months October 2023 to March 2024. Following SEC Operations and SEC Panel engagement DCC has now issued a conclusion to that consultation, alongside updated TCHODR.
