Recent award wins
In May 2024, DCC ranked as 7th in the Top 50 (UK and Ireland) at the Inspiring Workplaces Awards 2024. DCC collected our first culture-based award and three certificates in special recognition of our positive work on Inclusion, Culture and Purpose and Employee Voice.
IoT Breakthrough Awards
In January 2024, the DCC and Vodafone won ‘IoT Alliance of the Year’ at the 8th annual IoT Breakthrough Awards. The partnership between Vodafone and the DCC is a 15-year agreement to build and operate managed IoT connectivity and supporting services to provide 4G connectivity for Britain’s smart meter network. The deal enables DCC to evolve its communications network, part of critical national infrastructure, to 4G and beyond.
edie Net Zero Awards
In November 2023, the DCC and UrbanTide won the ‘Software, Systems and Service’ category at the edie Net Zero Awards, for the ground-breaking 'uZero' platform. Information gathered by ‘uZero’ can be used by local authorities, housing associations, energy suppliers and social care providers to target solutions such as retrofitting homes or leveraging government support grants where they are most needed, helping to protect the most vulnerable households in Britain.
